Together for the mission

Community life gathers Eudists, forms them in communion, and sends them to share Christ’s love.

Living and serving together

Following the example of the Apostles, Eudists live in community. Communion gathers and renews them before sending them to bring Christ’s love to the world. The source page compares community to the circulation of blood through the heart: people are gathered to be renewed, then sent out with life to share.

Evangelization

The mission shares the beauty of baptism and the call to become, through one’s life, a sign of God’s love in the world.

Formation

Forming those who form others and accompanying those who serve, especially priests, are part of the mission. John Eudes himself taught in seminaries.

Mercy

Eudists seek to give a voice to people who are not heard and stand with those most in need of mercy, sharing in the joys and sufferings of people who are poor.

A family and a school of holiness

Community life is lived as family and aims to make each community a school of holiness for all who come to it (CJM Constitutions, § 35).
