Forming people for pastoral service
Formation of good laborers for the Gospel
Eudist formation accompanies priests, leaders, and people discerning a vocation in order to support quality pastoral ministry.
A tradition of formation
John Eudes devoted himself to the formation of priests. Following this tradition, Eudists work to strengthen pastoral service and help communities awaken vocations.
A shared journey
Formation connects parish life, lay people, seminary, ordained or consecrated ministry, and the parish again. Pastoral responsibility is shared wherever possible so lay people can discover their part in the Church’s mission.
Accompanying discernment
Teams of priests, religious, and lay people organize vocation retreats and accompany young people. A formation house offers space for prayer, community life, and study.
Supporting ministries
Eudists serve in seminaries as spiritual directors and professors. They also collaborate with diocesan catechetical institutes and may provide psychological support to people in consecrated life who need it.
Forming those who serve
In the tradition of John Eudes, formation supports those who guide and teach in the Church. It seeks to renew their commitment and prepare communities for mission.
